London‛s Green MEP Scott Ainslie has launched a new campaign to show solidarity with EU citizens living here, after ’shameful‛ treatment by the Conservative government.
He said: “It‛s been three years since the referendum. The Conservative government continues to deny certainty to the one million EU citizens living in London – and to the disgrace of our nation, the Government is shamefully trying to use them as bargaining chips.”
“Migration and free movement is the lifeblood of London, making it the world‛s most culturally rich, vibrant and diverse city in which to live, work and thrive. We cannot, and we will not, tolerate discrimination against anyone who lives in our city. It’s simply unacceptable.”
“I‛m asking Londoners to stand against this Government‛s cruel and discriminatory policies,and join me in sending them a message, showing that London loves our EU citizens.”
