Coronavirus Testing In Islington

Islington’s new local testing site will be open 7 days a week, 08:00–20:00, from 4 Oct, on the Sobell Centre car park. Anyone with coronavirus symptoms can book a test at https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or by calling 119. The ‘walk-in only’ site is entered from Hornsey Road, with no parking available for those attending.

On 16th October 2020 Islington entered “Tier 2” of lockdown. This means that we cannot meet indoors with family or friends (including in pubs or private homes) unless we have formed a ‘support bubble’, but can meet people outside so long as there are no more than six people meeting at a time, including children of any age.

There are exceptions to this, which are listed here and households can still form close ‘support bubbles’ with one other household, essentially declaring two households as one. You can read more about support bubbles here.

The main symptoms of Covid-19 are:

  • A high temperature
  • A new, continuous cough
  •  A loss or change in your sense of smell or taste

You can read more about Covid-19 via the NHS here

The NHS Track-and-Trace app has now also been released to help with contact tracing.
