On April 17th at Islington Town Hall, Green Party candidate Rod Gongrijp will be joining candidates from all the main political parties to put forward our plans for Islington at the Hustings for Islington. Organised by eleven campaigning groups from across the borough, it is a great opportunity to put questions to potential councillors on issues ranging from the future of the Whittington to funding for local schools.
Rod has been living and campaigning in St. Georges since 2004, and as well as a local school parent-governor, he has worked on campaigns to save St. George’s Church from demolition, for clean air and safer cycling routes, and to redevelop Holloway Prison for the benefit of the local people, rather than big corporations.
Join him at 6.30 p.m. in Islington Town Hall on April 17th to make your voice heard, and use these elections to hold our council to account.
