2024 Hillrise By-Election

I’m Alex Nettle, and I’m excited to be the Green candidate in the Hillrise by-election. 

I have lived in North Islington for two years, and love being part of such an exciting and interesting part of the city. As a 25-year old renter, I also know how challenging living here can be, but despite popular beliefs, I’ve always found everyone here is incredibly friendly and kind. 

I have long been a strong advocate for policies that both make people’s lives better and help the planet too, and have lived this through the Green Party and my line of work. I work as a Sustainable Transport Planner, delivering schemes that make it easier for people to walk, wheel, cycle and use sustainable transport. London has some of the best transport in the world, but also some of the most expensive, which prevents people from being able to make the best choice. 

I love this area, and would be honoured to represent it.
