Islington Campaign Officer

Job Description

Islington seeks to recruit a Campaign Officer to help our Local and General election efforts. 

This role will focus on mobilising members, coordinating leafleting and organising action days. This is an exceptional opportunity to get involved with the Green Party at an exciting time of growth.

Salary: £15/hour (contractor)

Hours: 14-21 hours per week

Location: Working from home and travel to and around North London as and when needed (travel expenses will be covered)

Line Manager:  Election Coordinator of Party, Megan Hector

Job Type: Fixed term ASAP until 30th November 2024, with possibility to extend based on General Election timing

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate’s remit will include the following:

  • Welcoming and engaging new members into the party
  • Organising weekly member phonebanks
  • Writing weekly member emails asking them to take action
  • Delivering a fundraising campaign for the local party
  • Helping to support and organise regular action days
  • Coordinating design, printing and delivery of regular newsletters
  • Working with officers to shape our local election strategy
  • Helping to update our local party websites
