“Brexit means Brexit”

“Brexit means Brexit” – three words that mean nothing at all. It’s time to start talking about what we’re actually getting. The United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union, entirely and totally, was never supposed to be on the table. It will cripple the country’s economy – which is why the Leave campaign promised it wouldn’t happen. They promised a lot during the course of their campaign, promises which disappeared in a puff of smoke as the dreadful reality of leaving the EU became a reality.

This is why any deal must be voted on.  Teresa May called a general election to silence opposition, and take away the voice of the 75% in Islington who voted against this disaster.

The Green Party is committed to a referendum on the terms of the deal.  In Islington, the Greens have been the only opposition on council, and is a grassroots party that will give its citizens back their voice on the EU.
